Prison Ministry

FUMC Wewoka welcomes persons who have been incarcerated and their families into the fellowship of worship and all programs offered in our church. The following Oklahoma ministries are available regardless of your faith affiliation or connection to FUMC Wewoka. Angel Tree Prison Fellowship Ministry is a national program that coordinates incarcerated parents' Christmas gift-giving to their children with local churches. FUMC Wewoka receives information for families living in the greater Wewoka area. Our church families take names and purchase unique gifts for each child.   Gifts are distributed before Christmas.  

New Day Camp is for children with a currently incarcerated parent. The camp is at Camp Cross Point at Lake Texoma in Kingston, OK. Christmas 2022

FUMC Wewoka provided Christmas presents to seven children in the Wewoka area. The presents were given in the name of their parent/grandparent incarcerated in the system. Three room heaters were provided to one of the families. It was a joy to meet with and serve these families.
